Corinth Recreational Area

This was a beautiful park...our spot overlooked a turqouise green lake... surrounded by tall pines, sweetgum trees and oaks.  There were some friendly squirrels, for our boy to delight in, and our boy also found himself a fan club.  Everywhere we go, Rudy likes to "put on the gear" and stretch his legs.  Taking a walk around the rig is a big deal for our little kid.  Some days he's brave.  Others, not so much.  He was really brave at this stop.  He let me carry him down to the lake overlook, and even sat on the overlook wall and enjoyed the view of the lake FAR below.  Each outing he had; there were these two little girls who would ride back and forth on their scooters, looking up at Rudy; he looking back.  One day, one little girl stopped and waved at him.  She then said: "I sure do like your cat!" (use your best southern drawl when saying that.)  I brought Rudy down to the end of our drive, and it was like J-Lo was there and the papparazzi couldn't get enough.  "Oh, man, that's such a purdy cat!"  "That sure is a big cat!"  "Oh, I jus love yer cat!"  The girls went gaga.  The girl's parent's went gaga.  Everyone from every nearby campsite went gaga.  "Is it a boy?"  "How much he weigh?" "We though you had a coon on a leash!"  "He looks like he's more dog than cat!"  Fast and furious the comments and questions came.  Rudy ate it up like it was shrimp at an all you can eat buffet and the joint was closing.  When everyone had left, and Rudy went inside, the beast went right to the window to look outside to see if his "fan club" was still looking at him.  He'd perk up every time he heard the scooters roll by.  Tell me animals don't understand and I'll tell you you're a fool.  He couldn't WAIT to get outside and would "yell" at me to go and greet his adoring public.  I had to take him out to say "goodbye" the day we pulled out; and of course, the "I love you's" were coming his way.  He's FAMOUS!
