Fun in Flanders

New Jersey has some of the most confusing roads on the planet. We've spend much of our "out and about" time LOST. We do eventually get to the destination, but we take the LONG way around. On Friday we went to visit Lake Lackawanna where Vincent used to live. Saw the house he lived in 30 years ago, and got chased off by the neighbor of the house he lived in. We went to Priscilla and Bill's 50th wedding anniversary party. It was amazing. They played a video of their wedding as we danced, visited and reminisced. Pat and Bill made a beautiful couple then and now. It was so nice to see the family and old friends and meet some people for the first time. The whole evening was exquisite. The food was delicious. I had the absolute best fillet mignon in the world for dinner. The atmosphere at White Beaches Golf and Country club was wonderful. We were in the same room Pat and Bill had their reception in 50 years ago. We had a grand time there, until Vincent started feeling ill. He became nauseated and got a bad headache and felt HOT. We left the party around 11:30 and didn't arrive back at the campground until 1:00 because, you guessed it, we got LOST again! When we got home, I took Vincent's temperature and it was at 101.5. He went to bed and slept through the night. When I took his temperature again, it was at 103.2! Of course, we had no Tylenol in the house, so I had to go out ALONE and find some. I'm really proud of myself... I was able to navigate the back roads, stay off the highway and find a Walmart and bought the Tylenol, chicken soup and other goodies to nurse hubby back to health with. His fever broke over the night, he's at 99 degrees now, and feeling better but still out of it. We're staying in Flanders here at the Fla-Net park. Rudy and I don't mind the extra time, because we've been loving the wildlife. Here is a slide show of the park and some of it's inhabitants!
