Kissimmee State Park...the last days

In our last days, we were able to do laundry (exciting, right?) and relax a little.  We drove around and saw some new animals and sights.  We got the rig ready for the next park.  I have to say, in reflecting over the park, it was great.  There are 60 campsites with water and electric improvements and they are all pretty big.  Our site, number 53 was very spacious.  Here is a view of it.....before we got into it.

It was across from the bath house, but you had to kind of take a path through the woods if you didn't want to go the long way.  I got lost several times coming back...but if I had used the mushrooms and feathers from the turkeys on the ground, I would have had a "map" to follow and would have been alright.
Over the river and through the woods to the bath house we did go....

Oh, Look!  We MADE IT to the bath house!  Yay!

The bath house (ladies room)  Note all the cedar planks.  It was lovely.

We found that we were relatively close to Bok Tower.  I spotted it from the road and took a grainy distance shot to prove it.

The wildlife was my favorite.  There were some squirrels that seemed to frequent the same area at the same time every day...and the turkeys were all over the place.

There are three hiking loops you can walk along here.  Buster Island Loop is out by the cow camp (and people have reported seeing a panther there)  You can take a hike that is a total of 6.7 miles, or customize it for only .4 of a mile or 3.8 miles.  The next one is North Trail Loop.  It's longest distance is 6 miles.  Finally, Gobbler Ridge Trail (wonder where that name came from!) the longest there is 2.8 miles.  So there is something for everyone, and the walking is easy as it is covered with pine needles.

We made lots of new "friends", and really enjoyed our stay.
