Remained in Niota

We decided to stay in Niota one more day, primarily because we were too lazy to get out of our own way. We ran into yet another reason to be annoyed with our half price club we belong to. We have had NO problems in the past, but this trip was, well, frustrating, to put it mildly. We plan our trips around where there is a participating club campground, and with the exception of one or two of them, the rest said things like: "Oh, we don't do that anymore"... but they are listed on the website as *NEW*, if they don't flat out refuse the half off rate, they say: "Oh, we only take that on the first night, first 2 nights, we don't accept that for all of July or August" and when you look in the book and on the website under "restrictions" it says "NONE" or "No holiday weekends" or "No weekends" and we were there on weekdays and non-holidays. When you pay to belong to a club, you want to know that the campgrounds listed are going to be dependable. It's a real bummer when you have just traveled all day to find out they aren't going to play fair or at all. Sometimes you're too darned tired to deal with the whole mess and stay and pay anyway, but you're mad that you even had to. So, anyway... thanks for letting me vent. Tomorrow we are going to Chattanooga. Hopefully we'll pull out early enough to spend a few days rummaging around the city.

Even with the irritation of the "non-participating" participating club camps, we are still having a total BLAST. We're so relaxed, so well rested, so delighted and overjoyed to be having such a wonderful time, but we are also looking forward to going home to see friends and family. We miss them. Life would be perfect if we could take you with us!

Talk to you soon, from Chattanooga!
